These are the people in our neighborhood.
'Folks' is a series of casual, creative interviews with a group of people who have been a part of the Fair Folks & a Goat world from our early beginnings on the Upper East Side, our dalliance in New Orleans, all the way up to the here and now of our downtown cafes. Some are members, some have long since moved away, but the common thread they share is a true embodiment of Fair Folks' values, the things we get excited about in this world. They are genuine, friendly, optimistic, connected, curious, interested, interesting, and creative souls.
This is a bit of a love letter to everyone who walks through our doors, the people who have filled our spaces and brought with them a sense of true connection in a bustling city where that is difficult to find. People lend a sense of personality to a place, and it has always been our goal to create a 'home away from home' in a sentimental way. We wanted to create a place that felt like home beyond just four walls and a place to sit.
Photographer Daniel Graindorge captured gorgeous portraits during this initial shoot, with special thanks due to Brooklyn Gin for hosting. In the spirit of the Proust Questionnaire, we've got some quick, easy and sort of silly questions and answers for you - a little snippet of life in New York.
